Richmond Poppy Factory - Structural
Survey and Appraisal
As part of a planned refurbishment of the Richmond Poppy
Factory it was identified that only scant or unreliable
existing structural information was available. The historical
Richmond Poppy Factory had over many years been adapted and
modified with little record information retained. Lead
Consultant Ove Arup and Partners required information relating
to the current building condition, geometry and fabric to
inform their refurbishment proposals.
Deltaline Design were appointed to provide a full survey and
appraisal service including identification of all historical
steel sections and production of general arrangement and
detail drawings.
Deltaline utilised in house geometric survey capabilities to
fully survey the structure including mid-span beam
deflections.
Gathered information was presented in the clients requested
digital format to programme without complication.
