S-Stock Platform-Train Interfaces -
Train Stopping Marker Project
To support introduction of new S-Stock trains on the London
Underground network, Deltaline Design were appointed to enable
the design and installation of Chevron Train Stopping Markers.
Chevron Stopping Markers provide train drivers with visual
guidance of the required stopping position at each platform.
To facilitate installation Deltaline developed, designed and
prepared assurance documentation for bespoke frames supported
from existing platforms, canopies and tunnel linings. In many
instances existing platform infrastructure and the potential
for obstructing signals significantly limited the potential
installation location. Deltaline Design's in-house survey team
used laser total stations to survey existing assets and enable
accurate positioning of the chevron markers to the LU grid.
Deltaline Design prepared a full set of assurance and
construction documentation which was approved bu LU to
programme and works started on site as planned.
