Neasden Depot Winterisation DTSM, Glycol Filling & Storage Design

As part of the Neasden Depot Upgrade Project, Deltaline Design were appointed to survey, design and provide assurance documentation for a new Winterisation Facility including sand and de-icing fluid filing and storage areas. Design included a reinforced concrete liquid retaining piled raft with integral bund walls associated drainage channels and sump. The raft was designed to support 4 No. vertical single skinned Mono Ethylene Glycol storage tanks each with 26,000 litre working capacity. To fill the tanks a separate concrete bund slab was designed with integral sump and actuated valve chamber to restrict passage of glycol to surface water drainage in the event of a spillage.

Working to a tight programme Deltaline prepared a full set of assurance and construction documentation which was approved by LU to programme and works started on site as planned.
